The UK-wide conference will look at all aspects of decarbonisation in the offshore wind sector, bringing the latest research and evidence for progress in decarbonisation. The purpose of the event is to catalyse action, investment, decision making and secure progress in decarbonisation in a focused part of the maritime sector.

The event will be relevant to all vessels involved in the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms and will include research, insights and evidence from leading industry and government experts as well as providing a platform for discussion.

The day will begin with a range of speakers from both industry and the UK Government, to give insight into the next steps in decarbonising the sector.

The MCA will present the latest findings on likely pathways to decarbonisation for vessels involved in the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms.

In the afternoon there will be workshops addressing some of the key challenges in decarbonisation from ports, infrastructure and fuel supply to seafarer training, regulation and innovative technology.

1.30pm workshop choices:

  • Skills, training and seafarers and decarbonisation
