Suzanne Landolfi from the UK Ship Register christens a new vessel

The honour of christening a new vessel was bestowed on a UK Ship Register (UKSR) manager in recognition of her “immeasurable help” to a company growing its fleet under the UK flag.

At the naming ceremony in Southampton, Suzanne Landolfi was the Godmother for the newly built MO10 and MO11, owned by Mainprize Offshore Ltd.

Suzanne is Key Account Manager with the UKSR, part of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. She assisted the vessel owners with navigating the registration process, dealing with shipyards and advising on the project generally.

Suzanne said: “Having worked so hard to support MO10 and MO11 to be brought under the UK flag and into operation, it was incredibly touching and a real privilege to be given the honour of naming both vessels.

“The UK Ship Register is more than a list of ship names. As well as guiding customers with the important regulatory work, we are here to support and advise so that vessels can bring economic success to their operators and the UK.”

Colin Thompson, Operations Manager at Mainprize Offshore, said:

“Suzanne Landolfi has been an immeasurable help with our recent newbuilds.

She often goes above and beyond investing time and energy into whichever project she happens to be working on. We are grateful for the help we have received in getting recent new builds over the line.

After their naming ceremonies, I hope both vessels will be on their way to a long and successful commercial career.”
