UK authorised Recognised Organisations (RO) or Classification Societies
The six classification societies authorised as UK Recognised Organisations (ROs) for the survey and inspection of UK ships are:
- American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
- Bureau Veritas SA (BV)
- Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK)
- Det Norsk Veritas (DNV)
- Lloyd’s Register (LR)
- RINA Services S.p.A (RINA)

UK authorised Certifying Authorities (CA)
